I feel so bad being Great Nepali who has to read “VISIT INDIA 2009! The Land of Buddha”.

Promotional Board in Dobhy ghaut MRT Station

I wanted to post this picture everywhere in all social networks. Everyone may be thinking what is special with this simple …. picture which is caught with simple 5megapixel phone camera.

This year 2009, India have great year with a lot of visitors. I think, around January 2010 the report for this event will report success of the visit India 2009 year. But for me It’s worst. They promote the visit India 2009 with tag lines “Incredible India” and “The Land of The Buddha”. I don’t feel bad with first tag line…. but it hearts a lot when they promote with second tag line. It hearts more than a bullet went through my body. In the year 2009 India promoted their Visit India 2009 in Singapore with this tag line and with picture of Buddha in most busy mrt station where 200 people per minute cross the way in average. Every time I cross that way, it makes me feel so bad and upset. It gets more worst when I see promotion with new picture are changed in every 2 or 3 months with same tag line. But I cannot do anything. I even cannot ask Singapore Government why they authorized Visit India 2009 to promote with wrong information.

I am just surprised… how can country like Singapore lets to promote it, where news have to censored through. And why India wants to promote with fake promotion, except I am not surprised with ignorance of Nepal government. It’s as usual. They even cannot do anything, if they have information also. But being Nepali it’s so hard to see that promotion.

      Dude

What are u complaining about? India IS the land of Buddha. Buddha was Indian, born and brought up in India. Even his enlightenment happened under the Bodhi Tree in Bodh Gaya (Bihar, India).

I found the list “The world’s top 20 web designers”

I found the list of the top designers around the world. Designer peoples check this out. http://www.netmag.co.uk/zine/discover-culture/the-world-s-top-20-web-designers

What makes a world-class designer? It’s a simple question and yet once we started compiling this list we realised it’s not at all simple to answer. Is it about pushing boundaries or holding fast to traditional principles? Should the body of work be judged on aesthetics or usability? Is fame or notoriety important, or just a distraction? Ultimately, we’ve tried to balance all these considerations and more, and picked 20 figures who we all feel act as a beacon of inspiration to web builders everywhere. We hope you agree…
